Herbalizer - ‘Herbal Tonic – Best of Album’

Become aware of your own sensuality and remove your clothes. Time for a retrospective.

That slinky London Jazz rap band who none too immodestly occupied the lounge of Ninja Tune for the middle ten years of the label’s illustrious history have cobbled together (or had cobbled together for them) a long overdue ‘Best Of’ retrospective chronicling the band’s sojourn at the legendary manga house from 1997’s ‘Blow Your Headphones’ album to 2005’s ‘Take London’.

Jake Wherry and Ollie Teeba used their time with Ninja to unite their love of hip-hop, funk, jazz and sixties film soundtracks. Musical collaborators included Jean Grae from What What, MF Doom, Roots Manuva, Phi Life Cypher, Blade, Fabian, Wildflower and Dream Warriors – several of who are resurrected here.

‘Herbal Tonic – Best of Album’ is due for release on June 14th 2010.
