Good news for fans of those surly, lachrymose Scots, The Twilight Sad – the band have announced a series of dates, co-headlining with Errors, the release of a new EP and a suggestion that a new album might come sooner than we think.
‘The Wrong Car’ EP will be released on 12” & Digital on 27th September through the band’s Fat Cat label.
The EP includes two brand new songs – ‘The Wrong Car’ & ‘Throw Yourself In The Water Again’ - from the original ‘Forget The Night Ahead’ album sessions plus a couple of remixes from Scots pals, Mogwai who tackle recent single, ‘The Room’ and tour-mates Errors, who makeover album opener ‘Reflection Of The Television’.
‘Throw Yourself in The Water Again’ is inspired by a line from Camus ‘The Fall’ while ‘The Wrong Car’ features a video directed by Nicola Collins who helmed the documentary 'The End' and was also responsible for band’s ‘The Room’ short.
Both formats of the EP are extended with a bonus digital bundle containing alternate versions as follows:
