The band have donw pretty well since releasing their
first full length album on Mercury Records last summer.
The album 'All Killer No Filler' shipped Gold and climbed
the albums chart (reaching Number 19) before they even
released their first single. 'All Killer No Filler',
now platinum in the UK, has been hovering around the
top end of the charts ever since, and now remarkably
the album is poised to enter the Top 10.
SUM 41 have played two sell out shows in the UK so far
(The Astoria in September and Brixton Academy in November).
They are now set to play their first UK tour of the
New Year in support of their new single 'Motivation'
which is out on March 25th.
Comprised of four guys from Toronto, Canada the band
formed when they were all still in high school. They
landed their deal with Island/Def Jam in the US in 1999
and have been touring their little butts of ever since.
They have played with everyone from The Mighty Mighty
Bosstones, the Offspring, Blink 182 to Social Distortion
and a stint on the Warped Tour.
'Motivation' sees more of a return to their punk influenced
roots. With their ever-increasing fan base now on board,
it looks set to propel them chart bound for a third
time.
