It might have escaped your notice (who knows, perhaps
even your interest) that those muscular glam rock daddys,
Bon Jovi played to the whole world on Wednesday. BJ's
loyal army of fans packed out Shepherds Bush Empire,
11 cinemas screens around the UK ,1,000 fans at a concert
venue in Amsterdam, Cinema screens in Berlin, Hamburg,
Vienna, Budapest and Prague, Customers at 10 stores
of France Telecom - the French national phone company
who were showing off their new broadband service.
With over 87 million albums sold worldwide the band
are also set to release their new album Bounce, on September
23rd on Island Records, shadowed by the recent release
of the single,'Everyday' - and Crud of course has all
the video footage you need to either drool lasciviously
over, or to whet your seething intolerance still further.
The video, shot on location in Socorro, New Mexico amidst
a remote region in the desert, saw Jon and the 'guys'
confront the wildest of weather conditions. The video
finds the band performing in the middle of 27 massive
satellite dishes, part of an installation called “The
Very Large Array” (VLA), one of the world’s premier
astronomical radio observatories. The video’s concept
evokes a global feeling where the band performs amongst
satellite dishes, which carry their music to all corners
of the world. In order to create the visual, three camera
crews were sent all over the world to capture footage
and intersperse it throughout the video, with no green
screens or computer generated images to “transport”
the band’s performance to exotic locales.
Their 8th studio album, Bounce is co-produced by Luke
Ebbin, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, the same team
responsible for the group'slast album, Crush. The album
was recorded in the band’s home state of New Jersey.
