On their British dates last April, Beulah were followed
around the country by a big group of people from a town
called Resolven, Wales. The guys followed them everywhere,
turning up at every gig. It turned out that some of
them were in the bands El Goodo and Cubare. So as a
thank you, when Beulah returned to the States and got
BTW in the Studio penning the fantastic new album "The
Coast Is Never Clear", it seemed a great opportunity
to pay homage to their Worshippers from Wales, and call
the first track "Hello Resolven"
So touched by this, the guys came up with the idea,
that on Beulah's next visit to the UK, it would be only
right to set up a gig in Resolven. So after months of
planning Shifty have the "Hello Resolven - Album Launch"
happening at the end of August.
Its going to take place in an old Theatre (used once
a year for the local community Opera), and as a member
of another Welsh band (and an ex Shifty Singles Club
indeed) Matt from Murry The Hump is also a local, support
will be provided by none other than Murry The Hump,
Cubare and El Goodo.
Shifty also have Special Guest DJs, and it promises
to be THE album launch of the year.
The mayor of nearby Neath is also on the planning committee,
as he so excited by the prospect of the gig.
So there you have it, Beulah playing Resolven, which
funnily enough is a mere hour and a half from the town
of Beulah, where they (we are informed and I joke you
not) have a flock of "Beulah Sheep".
And all this to follow the release of the first single
from the album "Popular Mechanics For Lovers"
out on the 13th August.
