Echo and The Bunnymen - Return of the Liverpool Mac

All boxed up - Limited edition single & tour news. Liverpool's finest play two special dates at LIPA (the Liverpool Institute Of Performing Arts) on Friday and Saturday, August 17th/18th, their first home town shows this year.

Echo & The Bunnymen will release a limited edition single for Cooking Vinyl on August 20th. Taken from their most recent LP, 'Flowers' he full CD tracklistingcan be found below, but included on the new release is a brand new version of 'Make Me Shine' b/w a version of 'Ticket To Ride' and an acoustic version of 'Nothing Last Forever'. The single is limited to 4000 (catalogue number FRYCD 112). The recent 'Flowers' release has garnered some of the best reviews of the cult Liverpool band's career, The Times suggesting it was their best LP since the 'Comeback' in 1997 and The Independent considering it was their best lp to date.

Echo & The Bunnymen also release a four CD retrospective box set for Rhino/WSM on July 23rd.

Over four cds the Box Set entitled' Crystal Days - 1979 - 1999' features the rare, the unreleased, the lost and the live over 72 tracks, starting from the original version of 'Monkeys' through to selections from 1999's What AreYou Going To Do With Your Life'. Complete with original artwork from Brian Griffin from the 'Ocean Rain' era, it is a comprehensive aural documentary of the Bunnymen's career to date with 17 previously unreleased tracks with a further 21 never before available on CD.

Echo & The Bunnymen are currently on tour in America and then play a selection of dates including the Fuji festival in Japan and dates in Australia before returning to these shores.

Rising Los Angeleno four-piece SPINESHANK are to play their first UK shows in over two years. A single, 'New Disease' will be released on 27th August to coincide. The LIverpool band, who have shifted more than 26,000 copies in the UK of their current album, 'The Height Of Callousness,' will be playing the following shows.
