COORDINATES INTERVIEW /WHERE THE STARS ARE AT Andrew W.K

Crud asks Andrew W.K, stand-up philosopher and sometime party animal: where's your head at?
Also audio and video streams for 'She Is Beautiful'.

Where are you now? What can you see?

I am away in Europe. There are so many pigeon birds and quail doves cooing and crowing and chirping and whistling outside my widow. I can see everything that I've ever dreamed of.

What was the first thing you ate/consumed today?

1 bag of rippled deli cut over baked griller fry potato chips. 1 cheese sandwich. 1 bottle of water. And 1 banana. That was my first meal at the airport in Sweden.

What was the last album you bought?

Classics Volume 1. It's pure pleasure.

What was the last movie you saw?

The last movie I saw in a movie theater was called "Lord Of The Rings". Not only was it one of the best films I've ever seen, but it was one of the most amazing things I've ever witnessed as a human being. An absolute triumph. A true achievement of divine human accomplishment. The last movie I saw I watched on video - "Who Is Harry Crumb?" which is incredibly funny especially the scene which features John Candy as an air conditioning serviceman. He and Joe Flaherty have a crumbling collision in which more coin, sucker punch, and jackpot collide into overwhelming blow downs.

Who inspired you most to become what you are today?

There is no one person or thing that has inspired me most. Instead, a huge, multifaceted explosion of people, places, and things all drilled me into what I am today. And what I am today is not what I will be tomorrow. I will be more.

Is Andrew WK the persona a case of what you see is what you get or are you more complex?

Not only is what you see what you get, but what you can imagine and discover and create and expect, and doubt, and understand, and confuse, and release, and posses, and give, and receive is what I am and you are too.

How hard would we have to party to keep up with you?

Simply by being yourself you have already surpassed me.

Where or how do you feel most comfortable?

When I can look into my own heart and know that it does not beat in vain.

What is your favourite track off your record? How do you decide?

I have no favorite track. As you can understand, to pick a favorite of anything immediately puts all other things down. To pick a favorite color, red, means that orange and blue are secondary? Never. My favorite thing is being alive, and all that comes with it - including every song on "I Get Wet". I am a human being, therefore, everything human is mine. All that I can make, take, see, hear, touch, feel, and imagine... all for me and you. For us.

What are you most looking forward to right now?

I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Sometimes in my life I only look forward, and backward. All the while waiting and hoping for what is coming... and regretting where I'd been. So excited for the upcoming that the time spent getting there only seemed to slow me down. I would love to fall asleep because it made tomorrow come so much faster. Now I like to look forward and back - but most of all, I like to enjoy every split second of every day as it comes on it's own. And I don't rush it or ignore it, but savor with all my might.
