The StrokesThe UK tour was previously scheduled to end in London on June 28, but as we all know this was going to be affected by the injury to Strokes drummer, Moretti.
The rest of the tour went ahead place at:

Sheffield Leadmill (June 23)
Leeds Cockpit (24)
Birmingham Little Academy (26)
Colchester Arts Centre (27)
London Heaven (28)

During the summer months, 3 Strokes song swere already said to be in the can for their 'virtual' appearences on the UK's Top Of The Pops show. The songs:: 'Hard To Explain', 'New York City Cops' and 'Last Nite' were scheduled for airing on June 29th.

US dates kicked off in San Diego on July 31, rounding up in Vancouver on August 12.

The US dates in full are as follows:
July 31: The Casbah, San Diego, CA
August 3: The Troubadour, Los Angeles, CA
August 7: Bottom of the Hill, San Francisco, CA
August 10: Roseland Grill, Portland
August11: Crocodile Cafe, Seattle, WA
August 12: The Starfish Room, Vancouver, BC

The single, Hard To Explain debuted at #16 on the U.K. Singles charts. The flip-side New York City Cops made it's debut on Top Of The Pops in the UK 13th July, the bands first appearence.

Talking about the recording of 'Is This It', Casablancas said: "It's all pretty much done. We go this bar called 2A by the studio every night, get free drinks, sleep it off then start work in the studio. Yesterday we walked out the studio and the sun was up, people were going to work. That has been our ritual, then we sleep through most of the day."
